The new World Cup ad by Beats By Dre not only has some of the finest footballers in the world like Neymar, Suarez, Chicharito, Fabregas, van Persie, et al, it also stars music icons like Weezy & Nicki Minaj, and even other sporting icons like LeBron James, Serena Williams & ESPN sports caster Stuart Scott. No sports-themed ad has ever brought such a plethora of global icons into one ad before… ok, maybe Nike and Pepsi have done it, but it’s 2014 and any ads done before then don’t count.
