Eric omondi: Millionaire through comedy
Most of the successful comedians in Kenya today jump-started their careers in Churchill Live...and one of the most popular of them all is Eric Omondi. If you thought that comedy in Kenya does not pay, think again. His act has earned him continental recognition and various endorsement deals. Featured on K24's Young and Rich yesterday, Eric's net worth is presently at about 30 million...and growing. If you thought that you can't sustain yourself purely on talent, think again.
Sir Richard Branson sings happy birthday to hon. Uhuru Kenyatta.

MADIABA!!!!!
Wezere, Pinpong, Kadiabz, Dabas and Makwodoz are some of the few names given to the ever so voluptuous African bottom. Never have we seen the ass being given all this publicity until recently. Vera Sidika could only be that local chille in the hood if it were not for appearing on P-Unit’s music video and later milking all the publicity that came with it. We are sure you know more who are just as blessed but have not yet seen the lime light.
So why all this fuss about the sitting allowance of a lady? Does it really matter, the same way chilles say that the size is a very huge factor when it comes to the ideal guy. The same applies to the dude, they have to have something to grab on at all times. There has to be difference between your back and bum area, if it all goes down like a slope, then you have something to be worried about.
This fascination with big buttocks did not just start yesterday, back in 1851 a lady by the name Sarah Baartman had unusually large buttocks and genitals, and in the early 1800s Europeans were arrogantly obsessed with their own superiority, and with proving that others, particularly blacks, were inferior and oversexed.
Baartman’s physical characteristics, not unusual for Khoisan women, although her features were larger than normal, were “evidence” of this prejudice, and she was treated like a freak exhibit in London. She was ruthlessly treated and once guys were tried of her shows she turned to prostitution but could not survive for long and died at a tender age of 25.
Several images have been developed since then showing different sizes of bums and the different names given to each. Guys, which one do you prefer? Chilles, where do you fall?

Top 3 signs that you're in the friendzoned
1) She talks about other guys to you. Sometimes when you're chilling, she'll point out a fly guy and openly proceed to exclaim at how fine they are. Alternatively, you'll notice her ogling at other dudes (Yes. chics do this too)
2) It takes her a while to respond to your texts or messages on social media. Unfortunately, guys don't seem to get this point, as obvious as it may seem. She keeps ignoring your Facebook chat greetings which you incessantly keep sending whenever she pops up online because she's just not feeling you. Next time you whatsapp her at 8.00 am and she hasn't replied by 8.00 pm (especially if she does this often) and you can see that she's been online...dude, you're in the friendzone.
3) When she gets in a relationship with someone else and you're still in the picture, don't get it twisted...she's just not that into you. Again, guys never seem to get the message and continue chasing after chics who only see them as brothers. Let's get this straight: if you've been clear about your feelings for her and she still goes ahead and gets serious with anaa dude, she's just not that into you bro. Keep stepping and hopefully you'll meet the one at the next turn.
So there you have it. These are the top three signs that you+her will only ever= friends forever. Take the hint and save yourself the looming heartbreak.
2013 BET Cypher : Real Husbands of Hollywood

Is Diamond Platnumz really a drug trafficker?
"Diamond is a drug trafficker"...this bit of gossip has been going round the grape vine for sometime now. Where there is smoke there is often a fire, albeit a very insignificant one at times. We won't even get into how much money he has, but it's no secret that he is definitely balling. However, how many musicians have gotten to that level simply by being smart about their art? Diamond is undoubtedly one of the few musicians on the scene who are enjoying massive success outside their countries. He is on high demand with shows all over Africa (and beyond) and is actually the highest earning musician in the East African community. He charges up to Ksh 250,000 per show and given their frequency and the number of fans who turn up for his gigs, not to forget the side hustles, the guy is set. But hey...you never really know, do you?
Ringtone's new digs in Runda.
We would all live in Runda if we could...but that is a reserve of the wealthy cream of Nairobi. Gospel singer Ringtone famed for hit singles like Pamela has seemingly joined this breed. He apparently has his new digs in New Runda estate...and is set to have a housewarming party soon. Where are those who were spreading rumours sometime back that he was driving a big car (for the image) while living in an SQ? Things must be looking up nowadays.
Rabbit and Sage no longer an item?
Kaka Sungura has just released a new single dubbed 1964, but that is not going to be the focus of this particular post. You probably know Sage by now, she of the 'Dumbala' ft Jay-A and 'So Alive' ft Octopizzo fame. In our Rabbit interview in the hip hop issue, he revealed that he had been dating for quite a while...but who knew that he was talking about Sage?! The two have managed to keep their relationship under the radar...until now when it is being reported that there is trouble in paradise. A source told Pulse that the reason for the two breaking up is because Sage heard that Rabbit has a side chic. How true this is remains to be heard.

Is Ruth Matete broke?
As Tusker Project Fame 6 kicks off, rumours continue to circulate that season 5 winner, Ruth Matete, is now broke after misusing her Ksh 5 million win. This comes after she allegedly moved back to her father's house. She however vehemently refutes these claims. On how she spent the money, she says that about Sh 250,000 went towards furnishing her house, Sh 500,000 to tithe, Sh 980,000 to a car. Sh 70,000 to an iphone 4s and about Sh 90,000 to a bash for her friends.
She also adds that her album will be out in two weeks featuring some big names in the Kenyan industry...names like Sauti sol.

Bloggers to get professional training in journalism.
Bloggers will now be required to at least get a Diploma or degree in Mass Communication for them to be recognized as journalists. The Media Council of Kenya CEO, Mr.Harun Mwangi, says they have been finding it hard to deal with bloggers since they are not professional journalists. He also says that many have been misusing social media thus tarnishing the journalism profession. This move seemingly seeks to get bloggers to follow the media code of ethics and thus advocates for responsible journalism.

Ghost teachers?
Tax payers are apparently losing millions paid to 'ghost teachers' each year. These are non-existent teachers who are in the government's payroll. KNUT chairman, Mr.Wilson Sossion doubted the 278,000 figure released as the number of teachers by the Teachers Service Commission. A head count is soon to be carried out to verify if this figure is indeed factual.
Security heightened at Alliance Girls.
Security was tightened at Alliance Girls' following an online alert of an impending terrorist attack. Step Aside Injera, There's a New Outlaw in Town: It's Billy the Kidd!
Our national rugby 7s team has reached the Main Cup quarter finals at the Gold Coast Sevens, the opening leg of the 2013/2014 HSBC Sevens World Series. The lads beat Tonga 38-0 and the USA 31-5 to top the group and automatically qualify for the quarter finals.
The boys still have one group game left against New Zealand's mighty All Blacks. The match will be to decide who tops the group as both teams have already advanced to the Main Cup quarterfinals.
Billy tha Kidd Shoots Into the Limelight
But perhaps the biggest story of the Kenya 7s team in the 2013/14 World Series so far is that of the revelation of Billy tha Kidd a.k.a. Billy Whizz a.k.a. Billy Odhiambo. The former Maseno High player is now the star in Strathmore University Leo's rugby team. Billy tha Kidd announced his presence on the world stage by scoring Kenya's very first try in the 2013/14 World Series campaign against Tonga. Looks like Collins Injera is passing on the try-scoring torch to able hands (or should we say legs).

Kenny Rogers shouts out to his Kenyan fans.
Check out this video of country singer Kenny Rogers being interviewed in Jimmy Kimmel's show. In the interview, Jimmy plays Kenny Rogers a video of four seemingly drunk Kenyans singing along to his smash hit 'The Gambler' with a bottle of Tusker on the table. It's actually pretty funny. Warning: You may be mildly annoyed by Jimmy's ignorance when he says Kenyans don't speak or understand English.

Floyd Mayweather shows you how to spend money
If you are an undefeated professional boxer who's made about $90million for just two fights this year alone...how would you spend that mullah? Well, Floyd 'Money' Mayweather shows you how it's done. Check this:
1) He doesn't wear shoes more than once. When he travels, he leaves them in his hotel room for the staff. As for boxers, he spends about $6,500 on them per year and tosses them out after wearing them only once.
2) He owns a G5 private jet...coz he can. When he travels, he doesn't let his full entourage ride on it because he fears having excees weight on the cabin.
3) He makes seven-figure bets at sporting events...coz to him, losing all that money will be like parting with loose change.
4) He likes getting swanked out, and doesn't mind spending millions on bling. He also bought his (ex?) fiancee this huuuge ring
5) He has no endorsement deal as is the norm with other athletes. However, he has his own clothing label dubbed 'the money team'
6) He loves cars as evidenced by his impressive collection. All his cars in Miami are black while all those in Las Vegas are white. Check out some of the cars from his all white collection:
His lambourghini Murcielago |
He got two matching rolls royce phantoms and asked his fans to choose which one looked better with his outfit. He also got two matching Maybachs. |
6) He instagrams pictures of his money when he's a bit idle...probably while wondering what he should blow it up on next.
He might be one to play hard but Floyd definitely works hard as well. He wakes up at 3.00am to train and takes his work very seriously. The message from Money May is simple..work hard, work smart and be sure to enjoy your success.
