Petition to have Sheila's nude advert pulled down.

Sheila Mwanyigha's vaseline advert has been the talk of town for quite some time now. It has probably also been the cause of many a break up among the lovebirds of Nairobi. Justifiably so, because the ravishing, voluptuous TV and radio personality is...well, nude. And men being the visual creatures they are...

Still, it was only a matter of time before complaints started emerging. This might be the 21st society but we do live in a conservative African society and Nairobi is stark in the thick of things (pun probably intended). Consumer Federation of Kenya, COFEK, had pledged to follow up on complaints deeming the advert as offensive. They have asked the complainants to give them two weeks to come up with a course of action which may be anything ranging from a court case to calling for consumer boycott.
All we can do now is wait and see what happens after those two weeks. However, the Young Male Federation of Kenya representatives that I have talked to have their fingers crossed in the hope that no one will interfere with their daily dose of eye candy.
