Step Aside Injera, There's a New Outlaw in Town: It's Billy the Kidd!

Our national rugby 7s team has reached the Main Cup quarter finals at the Gold Coast Sevens, the opening leg of the 2013/2014 HSBC Sevens World Series. The lads beat Tonga 38-0 and the USA 31-5 to top the group and automatically qualify for the quarter finals.
The boys still have one group game left against New Zealand's mighty All Blacks. The match will be to decide who tops the group as both teams have already advanced to the Main Cup quarterfinals.

Billy tha Kidd Shoots Into the Limelight
But perhaps the biggest story of the Kenya 7s team in the 2013/14 World Series so far is that of the revelation of Billy tha Kidd a.k.a. Billy Whizz a.k.a. Billy Odhiambo. The former Maseno High player is now the star in Strathmore University Leo's rugby team. Billy tha Kidd announced his presence on the world stage by scoring Kenya's very first try in the 2013/14 World Series campaign against Tonga. Looks like Collins Injera is passing on the try-scoring torch to able hands (or should we say legs).
